T.E.A.M = Together Everyone’s Abilities Make a Difference!
C.H.U.R.C.H = Christ’s Hand Universally Reaching Childlike Hearts
“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”
I heard something recently that disturbed me….the reason why a ‘ministry’ was not allowed to get started, was the leadership was concerned that the person/s would be elevated instead of God. They felt it was all about the person and not the Person! Hmmmm….that would depend on those looking on I guess….and also, the willingness of the leaders to give good leadership, including teaching and direction in loving kindness.
Do we squash a specific gift or talent because we are afraid of a person’s self-confidence?
In our culture today…I believe there is already far too many people sitting back because of lack of confidence…so how dare we hold others back if they ‘appear’ to be over-confident. Let’s teach on this in the church, lets encourage the use of the abilities and gifts given – with thanksgiving and loving direction and guidance. Otherwise, we are destined to be on the fence of either / or…..either you are over confident or you have a low self-esteem! It’s time to make a safe place for those who are willing to emerge with gifts, talents and abilities and those that are mature in the faith, to encourage, teach and train in the ways that would best enable those talents to grow even more and in this…all Glory to God!
Perfect love cast out fear! Cast out the fear and embrace the things that are given to grow us, lead and guide others into a greatness in the things of God, that are designed to be a Blessing. Let’s not make it a ‘curse’ to be full of confidence, zeal and passion – utilise those God given stirrings for His Glory.
Those that have a low self esteem or lack confidence, will be able to see that there are safe boundaries in place, that they may step into, in order to gain greater confidence and build trust for the next step in their journey of serving God in whatever way they are gifted in. When perceived over-confidence and under-confidence are given room to ‘’prosper’’ that is not the economy of the Kingdom!
The economy of the Kingdom does not embrace over-confidence or low self-esteem, the Kingdom is on an even keel. Balanced. The love of God leads us in triumphant procession in Christ Jesus.
Lead with this kind of love and you will see balance. You will see emerging like beautiful butterflies…the goodness of God in each individual….and then…as you nurture them, they will fly high.
Perhaps even higher than you…that is good! URLOVD! Shelley
