Mary had a little Lamb!

Mary had a little lamb,
It’s fleece was white as snow,
And everywhere that Mary went,
That lamb was sure to go,
Tho when that lamb …
Became a man, and in stature,
Before God and man,
He did grow
Mary held the promise true
Deep in her heart, as He grew,
She saw and watched the road He walked
And heard all manner of men who talked,
And it came to pass that her sweet lamb,
Now fully grown and known
Throughout the land,
As sent by God above, and anointed by the Holy dove,
empowered by His Love,
Now, a sacrifice to become,
The Lamb that was slain
And in all her pain,
She knew, this must be done.
He died and rose up from the grave,
For all mankind, not just the brave,
Those willing to be childlike – of all ages
Their names entered into the ‘Book of Life’ pages
O death where is your sting…. the Victory complete in Him
Mary had a little lamb – sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
