BE..GO..DO towards your “It is finished.”

Many people wonder what on earth they are here for, what their life holds and when they will die.
We are somehow incessantly attracted to these things.

Jesus spoke these words, “It is finished” and then gave up His spirit. God chose the time, the place and the way…and NOW also, as Christ was assigned His task here on earth, we also, like him have a specific task assigned us. After all, we were created in His likeness, see Gen 1:27

Therefore, we also need to know, as Jesus clearly did – what God’s Divine purpose for each one of us is and also, when that purpose is complete, like Him, can make that final statement that our task is finished and enter into our eternal rest with complete satisfaction.

I actually believe that there is an appointed time for all to enter into Eternal rest…no sooner and no later, however, there are those robbed of their appointed time – that is a matter for another time perhaps….the destination however, is the same.

Sticking to the theme of Divine purpose and specific calling, appointing, anointing and completion of that task.
Jesus as our example, was aware of His Divine purpose, to be born, grow up, disciple others, head to the cross and be crucified…it was no surprise to Him. In like manner, I do believe, whatever God has for each one of us, it comes as no surprise, for the Divine intentions, being made known and prepared for us in advance as well as daily revealed – for our and His good pleasure and to His Glory!

How can I be so confident? Coming from Eph 2:10, the most obvious…

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them…”

How do we know or discover what our Divine task is?
Without a vision the people perish! You may think that this means an ethereal vision, a figure of speech or a dreamlike experience. I don’t believe these alone, however, most definitely a part of the reveal…

As we know, then, we will have confidence that He will guide, direct, empower and assist in the completion of that task.
God has appointed in advance…that we walk in them confidently, boldly, without hesitation.

Some examples from old and new testament include:
David was anointed to be King, as a boy…however he didn’t come into that role until later…
The Twelve Disciples
The women at the well

All the stories of the Bible are relating to this one thing…the saving, delivering and setting free of all of God’s people into God’s Loving purpose and plan. Firstly, to know Him, live in His Love and then to go, in Holy Spirit Power and Presence and make disciples… How that works out for each one, is definitely uniquely crafted….

If you somehow think that you are past knowing or “missed the boat” that is never the case and in fact, NOW is the time and you are in your prime to see the Glory of God in your midst and His work to perform through you.

“I will restore the years the locusts have eaten…” Joel 2:25

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32
“for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Phil 2:13
“He went on to open their understanding of the Word of God, showing them how to read their Bibles this way. He said, “You can see now how it is written that the Messiah suffers, rises from the dead on the third day, and then a total life-change through the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed in his name to all nations—starting from here, from Jerusalem! You’re the first to hear and see it. You’re the witnesses. What comes next is very important: I am sending what my Father promised to you, so stay here in the city until he arrives, until you’re equipped with power from on high.” Luke 24:45-49 (Message)
